Michael Castro is on to Hollywood

Will Michael Castro be the next American Idol? Was his performance certainly impressive?

His first appearance on hit reality T.V. show was impressive, performing Gavin De Graw's "In Love With a Girl." He instantly snagged the judges' "Yes votes".

Michael tells the judges that it's his first time to sing.

After his performance, Simon said, "Michael, it was good-ish. It's not bad. I can't get anything from your voice at the moment. I'm never quite sure with you Castros, whether you're really, really into this or not."

The newest judge Kara also commented, "I think you're kind of a ballsie dude and I kind of like that about you. You have this sort of, 'I have a secret' kind of vibe."

Whereas Paula says, "I say, yes, yes, yes," which was followed on by Randy's remarks, "I say yes, dawg. Welcome to Hollywood."

His brother Jason is astounded,"I'm blown away. I've never heard him sing in real life. I was really impressed."
