Nike Cross Nationals: Chenango Valley senior Max Straneva will certainly bring home the bacon when he competes in the Nike Cross Nationals in Portland, Ore.Straneva this Saturday. Straneva, the New York State Public High School Athletic Association Class C boys champion last season, won the New York State Federation meet two weeks ago.
Straneve, who placed 11th out of 197 runners completed the 5K course in 15 minutes, 32.7 seconds.
Straneva is included in this year's Nike Cross Nationals as he won third-place in New York State Regional championship at Bowdoin Park in Wappingers Falls last weekend.
