There has been a grave misunderstanding about Annie Lennox having HIV. Having just been awarded as the 2009 Woman Peace Award, news about Annie Lennox being a campaigner and carrier has circulated all over the world wide web. The confusion is of course understandable. Having confidently worn a HV Positive t-shirt in the British musician's Sing Campaign on behalf of those affected by the disease, people had put one and two together and gathered that Anne Lennox must be one of of them.

Annie Lennox’s song ‘Sing’ sprung forth from her tireless involvement in the needed widespread awareness for the effect of the disease especially to the women and the children.

To promote her campaign, she has also initiated the Sing website, which gives relevant information on how to prevent this disease. With her noble cause, Lennox surely deserves more than a pat on her shoulder.
