With the holiday rush, isn't it just a treat to watch White Christmas? It is a 1954 Technicolor musical motion picture that was nominated for the Oscar in 1955 for its music and original song entitled " Count your blessings, instead of your sheep."

White Christmas, which was directed by Michael Curtiz, portrays an interesting friendship of World War II U.S. Army buddies: a former Broadway entertainer, Bob Wallace (Crosby), and a would-be entertainer, Phil Davis (Kaye). The story begins on Christmas Eve, 1944, in Europe.

Creatively written by Norman Cook, White Christmas revolves around Wallace and Phil Davis who work together to become a top song-and-dance act. Davis also plays the matchmaker role as he introduces Wallace to a pair of beautiful sisters (Betty and Judy) who likewise will perform a song-and-dance act. Just as Betty and Judy travel to a Vermont lodge to present a Christmas show, Wallace and Davis follow, only to be surprised that General Waverly, their former commander, General Waverly, is the lodge owner.
