Despite tough times brought about by the recession, this precious stone, Wittelsbach Diamond, has managed to shine out and be sold for $7.6 million at auction this Wednesday.
This Wittelsbach diamond is also known as Der Blaue Wittelsbacher, which is just about the size of a walnut.
This 32.05-carat emerald cut diamond, blue colored and squared shape exquisitely adorns a David Webb designed ring brought by Leonore Annenberg, wife of former UK Ambassador Annenberg for her 90th birthday.
