Winners of People's Choice Awards were aired live on the CBS Television Network with Queen Latifah as the host. The awards give recognition to the people involved in popular culture which includes the music and television industry.

Recipients of the prestigious award are as follows: At the 35th People's Choice Awards, "The Dark Knight" received the most awards on January 7 09. The hit super hero movie proudly brought home the following awards: Favorite Movie and Favorite Action Movie.

Also in People's Choice, "The Secret Life of Bees" and Will Smith were victorious as both are named Favorite Movie Drama and Favorite Independent Movie and male movie star and male action star favorite respectively.

"Wall-E" earned the Favorite Family Movie prize, whereas "27 Dresses" was named the People's Choice Favorite Movie Comedy. Brad Pitt, Adam Sandler, Reese Witherspoon, Kate Hudson, Angelina Jolie and Tina Fey are tagged as winners of the Favorite title in the performers category which includes Favorite Leading Man to Favorite Funny Female Star.

On the other hand, leading actors Christian Bale's and Heath Ledger's performances in the sequel of "Batman Begins" are also recognized for their on-screen match-up. Bale, who played the hit Batman role, also got the Favorite Superhero title.
