“By the age of 17, Cheryl’s natural exotic beauty lead to a series of beauty contest wins including, Miss Kauai America (Cheryl is the youngest winner of this title), and placing in the top five of the Miss Hawaii America competition. During her reign as MissKauai America, Cheryl began modeling for famed Sports Illustrated photographer, Bob Coello and became the ambassador to the island, greeting dignitaries from all over the world.

When she moved to L.A. she joined the Miss California USA pageant and was crowed Miss Asia USA. Cheryl was later on chosen as Los Angeles Raiderette and continued with the team. Later on, she became Oakland Raiderette when they transferred to Oakland.
