Bryant Gumbel Confirms He has Lung Cancer

Bryant Gumbel, 61 the host of HBO's "Real Sports with Bryant Gumbel, just confirmed on Tuesday morning that two months ago he had undergone cancer surgery to remove malignant tumor on his lung while he was the guest-host of "Live". Gumbel also said he opted to keep his surgery private while he was going through the process.


According to Bryant, part of his lung was taken off and he hopes that his treatment is complete. He is set to see his surgeon next week.


Gumbel, whose previously known to smoke cigars, would like to play golf soon.We all hope Gumbel will be well soon.
