Tiger Woods mother-in law, Elin Woods mother, Barbro Holmberg, Tiger Woods Mother: Barbro Holmberg has just been confirmed as the woman being rushed to the hospital and is now in stable condition. Barbro Holmberg, the mother of Tiger Woods' wife Elin Nordegren, is reported by a source that she was sent from Woods' home to the hospital this morning.

Reports from TMZ, states that Woods' mother-in-law was not at their residence during the car accident after Thanksgiving though she has been in the USA.


Holmberg is a Social Democrat in Sweden, who is referred to as a "prominent politician" in various reports. Speculations about Barbro Holmberg, a Sweden's minister for migration and asylum policy being quoteded in an April 2006 New York Times article on secret CIA flights and the handling of terrorism suspects also surfaced. "Sweden has been criticized for this on numerous occasions, and we have taken a number of steps in order for it not to happen again," the minister said at the time.
