Gov. Perdue Vs. Gov. Ricky Perry on Friendly Independence Bowl Wager

It is interesting how we just love placing our bets on our favorite teams, howl as we must in support of our team. Win or lose it doesn't matter! Well, as for Governor Perdue who reportedly just place a wager with Texas Gov. Ricky Perry on the result of this afternoon's Friendly Independence Bowl game between University of Georgia Bulldogs and Texas A&M University Aggies, it's a win-win situation. Whichever team wins in today's Independence Bowl game, the two Governors agreed to wager food supplies for a local food pantry.

Gov. Perry is just as confident that the Bulldogs will bring food supplies for Georgia and the Atlanta Community Food Bank, which accepts donations online at www.acfb.org.

For Gov. Perry, “Georgia has a tremendous football program, but they’re going to find out the hard way just why Texas is the center of the football universe. “As an Aggie myself, you might say I’m biased, but I’ve seen this team grow each week under Coach Sherman, and I know the Aggies will take home a victory and send the Bulldogs back home to Georgia.”

The Independence Bowl is held at Shreveport, La and starts at 5 p.m. EDT. Who do you think will win on today's Independence bowl game?
