Highlights on Charlie Sheen's Arrest and Domestic Violence

Updates on Charlie Sheen: Sheen released without any charges filed.
Brook Mueller on Restraining Order

What happened last Christmas in Aspen between Charlie Sheen and current wife, Brooke Mueller that led to Charlie Sheen's arrest, was history repeating itself. It is all a familiar scene for Charlie Sheen, more like a replay of a sour love-affair with the hero threatening his vulnerable wife/love-interest while he takes charge. This is the role Charlie Sheen is known to play very well in real life.

As we very well know, Charlie Sheen was previously arrested on a battery charge against a woman. Besides, not only Brooke Mueller has been issued a restraining order, but also Charlie Sheen's previous wife, Denise Richards.

Sheen also plead no contest to misdemeanor battery and was given a year’s suspended sentence and two years probation in 1996. This time around, as reported by Radar Online, Sheen, can face up to 8 years in prison once convicted of domestic assault charges. This is a statement release by Lauren R. Maytin, Colorado Criminal Defense Attorney though he has no connection with the case. However, in spite of these allegations pressed towards Sheen, no formal charges have been filed in connection to his arrest.

Reports can show Charlie Sheen's violent tendencies. For one, the shooting incident that took place during Sheen's engagement with former fiancée, Kelly Preston, which eventually led to their breakup.

What is interesting to note is that how come Sheen manages to free himself from charges when several reports on his assault with the women of his life have surfaced ever since then. One thing in particular that might also have you wonder is his statement when he was allegedly threatening current wife, Brooke Mueller as soon as she mentioned divorce and custody of their children. Sheen allegedly told Mueller while holding a knife to her throat, "You better be in fear. If you tell anybody, I'll kill you. Your mother's money means nothing, I have ex-police I can hire who know how to get the job done and they won't leave any trace."

After posting $8,500 bond, Sheen is set to face an Aspen judge in court on February 8 facing the following possible charges: second degree assault, a class four felony; menacing, a class five felony; and criminal mischief, a class one misdemeanor.
